Are you tired from your visit to Joshua Tree National Park? Well no worries, we’ve got you covered with some activities to help you wind down before you tuck in for the night at Harmony Motel. Kids will enjoy themselves when you visit Luckie Park located along Utah Trail Rd and Joe Davis Drive. Luckie Park has much to offer with its lit up Skateboard Park, swimming pool, horseshoe pits, two light up basketball courts, and its two playground areas. If you’re more into the serene scene, check out the 29 Palms Art Gallery owned and operated by the Twentynine Palms Artists’ Guild. Located in an adobe home originally built for western writer Tom Hopkins, kids and parents alike can enjoy art shows that run monthly from September through June. The art gallery boasts a Summer Youth Arts Program from July through August and the gallery is open 12 pm-3 pm Wednesday through Sunday.
For the golfer in your life, you’ve not been forgotten! Twenty-nine Palms has two golf courses for your driving pleasure. The Roadrunner Dunes Golf Course offers a nine-hole course with water obstacles and sand dunes. If you’re looking for a bit more challenge, check out the Desert Winds Golf Course with its 18-holes and almost 7,000 yard layout. Desert Winds is located at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, however it is open to the public. Entrance for civilians is located at the back gate along Morongo Road off of Indian Trail.
For even more fun, grab your bowling shoes and head over to The Bowladium-Family Entertainment Center and bowl any of their 16 lanes!
